The Men Who Built America

This week I will talk about this four episode series called “The Men Who Built America.” Although four episodes may seem short, each episode is runs for about an hour and a half. One day I was on Netflix deciding on what to watch and decided to give the series a chance. This show revolves around a couple of men who basically built America. By this I mean that these men revolutionized the nation opening up doors to prosperity. There were improvements in transportation, electricity, construction, and even banking. These men were able to fiscally build America physically through steel, economically through transportation and banking. Also, technological advancements such as direct current, alternating current, and new ways to use oil and kerosine. The men in the series involve big names like Andrew Carnegie, Cornelius Vanderbilt, John Rockefeller, JP Morgan, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and even Nikola Tesla. Basically the series shows how these men became millionaires in their time period and how now that money would account for billions of dollars. These men revolutionized the United States and opened up opportunities for growth and economic prosperity. These men built the starting ground of the USA.

I would highly recommend this series it is short yet so interesting and entertaining to watch. It is available on Netflix. I have always loved History Channel specials, because they allow their audience to really visualize what happened and how people contributed to American history. It is always great to become educated and informed about one’s own country. Also I feel like these men could serve potential role models who value the will to succeed and become prosperous. These men revolutionized the world and since then, more and more people have been inspired to improve the world. If it hadn’t been for these men, the US would not be one of the prosperous nation it is now.
