The movie “Lawless” revolves around the lives of three brothers who have an imfamous reputation in Franklin County, Virginia; during the time of Prohibition. The Bondurant brothers consisit of Forrest and Howard as the older sibinlings and Jack as the youngest brother. The brothers are moonshiners who profit illegally during the span of three years during the prohibition time period. the age differencr between Jack and his older brothers is large. Being that Jack is so young, Howard and Forrest don’t want Jack to experience the hardahip of being a moonshiner. The Bondurant brothers are able to sway their fellow citizens to their liking. The brothers sometimes pay of the local sherieffs. But, after a special deput named Charley Rakes entered the scence. Rakes would perform cruel and unusal punishment to town’s folks who decided not to rat or tell information on the Bondurant brothers. Jack slowely began to fit in his sibilings footsteps and became quite succesfeul and even stylish. Jack would always dress nice in expensive clothes and new cars with his best friend Cricket Pate. One day Rakes orderd two men to kill Forrest. They ended up slitting his throat and raping the waitress who works at the brithers shop. After the cruel ordeal Maggie Beauford managed to drive forrest and herself to the hospital. Forrest managed to live, I know right?
Another time Jack’s bestfriend is killed by Rakes. Rakes snaps Crickets neck. It is later reveliaed that Cricket Pate sufferes from rickets. Once Jack heard the news of his best frined, Jack became enraged and went on a rampage to kill Rakes. Jack confronts him only to get shot. Forrest, Howard, and many town’s members came out to support the town from Rakes and the police. In the end Forrest got shot several times in the torso and Jack was aso shot. All brothers survived, yeah Forrest agian. A legend told that the Bondurant brothers were invincible and Forrest proved that with will to survive one can live.
